CVTO Mechanical Inspection is a local family business that specializes in mechanical inspection since the implementation of the road safety law in 1988. The company is an agent of the Société de l’assurance automobile du Quebec (SAAQ) and consequently, all staff are trained by SAAQ road vehicle inspection experts.
CVTO verifies road vehicles with a gross nominal weight (GVWR) under and over 4500 kg with technical expertise and inspection of modified and adapted vehicles in the perimeter of Gatineau..

Our facilities and staff allow us to provide fast, high quality service. We benefit from a very large paved area which facilitates the movement of road vehicles of all sizes. Several parking areas are also available for you!
We are the only center west of the Gatineau River that audits light, heavy, modified and adapted vehicles and offers technical expertise. Our geographic location is perfect and essential in order to serve customers in the center – west of Gatineau as well as its surroundings (Pontiac, the Collines-de-Gatineau and the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau) and of course Ottawa.
Our proximity to Ontario has allowed us to acquire a vast experience in managing various legal forms and information relevant to cases that involve seriously damaged interprovincial vehicles. In addition, we work in close collaboration with all stakeholders from the various police forces and road control partners. CVTO has been instrumental in introducing and explaining the law to automotive dealerships in eastern Ontario.
